Iron Man

I created these sample pages for my portfolio. The goal was to push the action by placing figures in dynamic compositions, breaking panel borders when necessary to drive the momentum.

Iron Man can be a challenge to draw. He has a mix of hard and soft surfaces. But I’ve always had an affinity for the character since I picked up my first comic Iron Man #277 on the newsstand. I referenced a lot of metal textures to portray the weight and mass of the armor as he moves through space.
